Scaling Up: Turning Good Ideas into Massive Impact 📈

As Chairperson, I led a diverse, powerhouse team of 10+ General Managers and 75+ members. My mission was to design initiatives that reached previously unreached segments of the student body, build bulletproof partnerships, and empower my managers to step up as incredible leaders themselves.

Highlights & Massive Impact 🌊

1. Levelling Up Community Support

  • Ramadan Packs: Distributed care packages to university workers—driving a 40% increase in campaign participation and strengthening community bonds across campus.
  • First-Ever Al Masry Foundation Deal: Forged a historic partnership to streamline donation collection, guaranteeing 100% secure and transparent fundraising.

2. Radical Inclusion & Real Accessibility

  • Large-Scale Concert Accessibility: Managed the architectural accessibility logistics for the Student Union’s biggest concerts of the year (Polaroid & Cassette), ensuring smooth, inclusive access for 100+ attendees with disabilities.

3. Mindful Sustainability & Campus Culture

  • Sustainability & Wellness Project: Directed yoga, recycling, and creative workshops to build mindfulness and eco-friendly habits, engaging 200+ students across 5+ events.

4. Global Sports & Massive Audiences

  • Athletes Symposium: Organized a high-profile event honoring national and university sports champions, boosting athlete visibility and pulling in 300+ attendees.
  • World Athletes Forum: Hosted an ambitious global forum with 60+ panels featuring professional athletes, coaches, and sports experts—attracting 1,000+ participants and major media coverage.

How I Guided My Managers 🏋️‍♂️

Being Chairperson meant stepping back from ground execution so my 10+ General Managers and 75+ team members could shine.

  • Empowering, Not Micromanaging: Coached my managers on pitching bold ideas, managing large budgets, and running massive operations independently.
  • Cross-Organizational Excellence: Showed my team how to build bridges with university departments, outside foundations, and campus offices. Our teamwork paid off with two Office of Student Life (OSL) awards for Best Collaboration.

Takeaway 💡

Proud to have led such a passionate team to build a more inclusive, sustainable, and engaged student community—leaving behind institutional systems that will serve AUC for years to come.
